Studio brief 2 - Theory into practice

I have decided to that I am going to conduct my research within the social impact of technology. I have been inspired and interested by Charlie Brooker's series 'Black Mirror', a series is produced by Zeppotron for Endemol. The 2 contain 3 episode each with unrelated narratives. The narratives are based upon the idea of our contemporary unease about our modern world with a 'techno paranoia' feel.

I worked out that I was mostly fascinated by the idea of technology shaping the way humans interact and behave which fitted perfectly under the ' Theory Into Practice' task.

My proposal

My aims are to explore clear themes within future technology and identify how this will effect humanity  socially. My objective is to research advancing technology releases and future predictions.

I know that from my initial understanding obtained from my interest of technology that I can explore and share technology with people that they will find interesting and engaging.

Most of the research I will gather will be mainly from the web because this is where the main body of information exists. The internet itself is predicted to overtake TV specifically in its reach and interaction world wide. I think I will be able to gather a lot of research as I find it such an interested topic. I began researching quite late but realistically I think I can collect enough research to be well informed on the topic of technology in the present to an extend I can inform others within my publication.

I have started looking at technology that is going to be implemented over the next two years. I have listed technology that I find interesting that I think will influence peoples life. I need to research into each technology further and specifically identify where the technology will effect people.

I will explore contextual theories, principles and processes introduced from the context of practice module. I will identify how I can represent my body of research practically into a printed document. I have decided I am going to work within print solely because I think my portfolio would benefit.

I think everybody should be interested in my proposal because everyone will probably be effected by technology if not already.

My ambitions are to create a publication that is visually interested with the content being thoroughly engaging and exciting the reader as I am about technology.
