On view at Eyebeam Art+Technology Center in New York. Originally developed by the EPFL+ECAL Lab at the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland, the exhibition showcased seven installations by artists who use augmented reality (AR) to tell stories in new ways. Previous incarnations of the exhibition have been shown in London, Milan, Paris and San Francisco; the New York version was designed in collaboration with SOFTlab and Futureflair, and featured several new works.
Augmented reality is reality with something extra—objects, environments or interactions that have been enhanced with virtual content or storytelling that blurs the line of the physical and digital. Jen’s graphic design for Gimme More plays on this intersection of the material and immaterial, using simple elements of light and shape to create an otherworldly effect that helps introduce visitors to the subject and sets off SOFTlab’s innovative exhibition design.'

Augmented reality is underneath and directly linked to perception. How we percieve objects within our environment. I have documented this work because I think it is a great example of how you can work within the perimeters of an exhibition space.
This work could serve to help me measure the success of my planned exhibition and is perfect contextual research for what Ia m doing.
Here you can see the layout of the exhibition which is interesting/ useful. The use of the projector again highlights the possibilities of digital media within the exhibition.
Also how the work fits contextually within augmented reality shows me the kind of research I need to be looking at to achieve these same results. It is something different from a standard poster and fulfils its purpose.
I think it is really useful as you get to see the scale of the work in proportion with the exhibition space. As it is not possible for me to view the gallery first hand.
Here is a poster for the exhibition. Again this is informing me to the range and style that I need to research. Also this is useful as I can see what information needs to go on the poster, such as time, dates, locations.
